The Polish legal regulations require obligation of annual audit of join-stock enterprises’ financial statements. Other enterprises are obliged to an audit if, during the previous account year, they met two of three following criteria:

• average number of employees over 50
• balance sheet total over 2.5 million euro
• income from sales of goods and services and from financial operations over 5 million euro.
